This elegant jacket offers perfect waterproof protection with a close-fitting stretch fit for comfort and aerodynamic performance. Enough protection and breathability to wear it all day, but looks good on any ride or when meeting friends in a cafe.This jacket does three things very well: the Tempesta Stretch fabric provides complete waterproof protection, the four-way stretch allows it to fit almost any body type perfectly, and it looks great on and off the bike. Compared to more expensive Idro jackets with GORE-TEX®, you give up best-in-class breathability and extreme packability, but you gain a comfortable fit thanks to the stretch and increased durability.
The fabric was developed at Castelli, to our specifications, to create a jacket that is completely waterproof, comfortably stretchy, packable enough to fit in a jersey pocket, and designed to look good. It was primarily intended as a rain jacket to be worn over a jersey, so we’ve omitted external pockets and kept the construction simple to minimize the number of seams. We’ve added venting on the back to prevent overheating, added a zipper flap to prevent splashing from getting inside, and reflective detailing for your safety.
